It's Friday! On most Fridays, I can't wait for class and work to be over. While my week can be crazy and full of curve balls, my Fridays are almost always the same. Up at 5am, leave for work at 6:15, then head to class at 8:15. After class it's back to work until 6 and then time to head home! Once I get to my house, I make dinner for myself and my husband, we clean up the mess, and park our little fannies on the sofa and catch up on everything we've set to DVR throughout the week. Usually it's a marathon of one show, but sometimes we mix it up. The list includes (depending on the season) the following:
American Idol
Dexter
Jersey Shore
We have other shows on our DVR, but the above are the ones we share interest in. My favorite of the three is Jersey Shore. If you watch it, and you comment, DON'T TELL ME WHAT'S HAPPENING! I'm about half a season in so don't spoil it for me, please. :)
Keyword in all of this: usually. Usually, my Fridays are like I just told you. But not today! Today, the hubby is in Vegas (for work) and I'm home alone getting ready to clean a little before my friends come over for movies. And I'm home, because I've been off work for the last two weeks (Whoo!)
I love watching movies with these two particular friends (they're twins, in case you're interested...) because the only thing they're ever really willing to watch is romantic comedy or just comedy. While I have a larger queue of movies in my personal stash, I absolutely love being "forced" to only watch something funny. The further I get into this year of school (and maybe, possibly, the older I get), the less serious I am about life. Sure, I'm serious when it counts and when I need to be...but on Friday night?! Psh. Fagettaboutit. I'm not sure what we will end up watching, but AM sure that I will spend the evening laughing with friends and that is exactly what Friday nights should be made of!
(Note: I realize that I may have just made it sound like Jersey Shore is not funny. Oh trust me, I get plenty of laughs out of that one, too!)
What does your Friday look like? Do you have a specific day that you look forward to every week? If you do, why?
Thank you so much for the dress suggestions. I've been thinking along that same line also. In fact that is what I first envisioned. But I have this weird desire to challenge myself so I'm trying to think of a way to extend that thought. We'll see what comes out. Thanks a ton for following also. I enjoyed reading your few posts :) I need to come up with a bucket list too. I would love to travel to those same places. As for my favorite day of the week, I love sunday. It's the only day my husbands schedule doesn't fill up, so we have him home usually all day. It's great.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for stopping by. I adore your name, and you are very beautiful!
Thanks, Cami! I did a quick google search for rainbow dress and saw some adorable ideas! I can't wait to see what you decide to do!
ReplyDeleteSundays are great. I'm usually stuck in my office doing homework, but it's part of the weekend and still a family day for most people which keeps tradition alive. Gotta love that!
Enjoy your weekend with those cute munchkins!
