Impossible.
It can be an intimidating word and an overwhelming feeling. This semester has made my college career seem impossible (or worthless) at times. I'm almost done and I'm feeling like I remember that last lap or 2 of a long run. You can see the finish line...there's no point in giving up now because you've come all this way...and it's only a lap or two...just run hard, as fast as you can...you can crash later and rebuild your body LATER. Now is the time to hit the pavement. Literally.
So, that's what I'm doing. Blogging less, studying more, hanging on at work by the skin of my teeth. What the heck does that even mean?! I don't know, but it's the best I've got right now. My marriage is on the back burner (boo!!!) and so is dinner (boo!!! says the hubb-o), but it's all going to be worth it...especially if the scholarship I'm working at comes through. Ah! Free college for the next three years?! YES, PLEASE! SIGN ME UP! Right here...uh huh, this girl...I'll take it!
Tonight my cousin reminded me of pressing on. She quoted a phrase I remember reading on her refrigerator time and time again. I believe it's from an old Adidas ad. Regardless of where it came from, it's helpful! And right now...I need help!
Impossible is a big word thrown around by small men
who find it easier to live in the world they've been given
than to explore the power they have to change it.
Impossible is not a fact.
It's an opinion.
Impossible is not a declaration.
It's a dare.
Impossible is potential.
Impossible is temporary.
Impossible is nothing.
